If you complete a course but your course progress hasn’t updated unfortunately you will need to complete the course again. Some common reasons as to why your progress may not update correctly are:
- Inorrect exit button or manually closing the browser window: Each course contains an exit button within the course content that will save your completion and close the course. Always use the exit button contained within the course, as clicking the Internet browsers ‘X’ button will close your web browser and may not allow the course time to save your progress.
- Timing Out: After a few hours of inactivity your training session will automatically time out. If a course is still open any progress and results will be lost. If you need to leave your session for an extended length of time, use the in-built exit button within the course content. This will allow you to safely leave the course and resume later.
- Browser Issue: All Rio Tinto eLearning courses are designed to work in all modern web browsers configured to their system default settings, problems may be experienced if using a less modern web browser or one that has had it's settings considerably modified from the vendor's default. For best results, use a modern browser without plugins, configured according to the vendor's recommended default state.
